SENAPATI, June 10: In a compassionate and commendable act of community service, the 16 Assam Rifles, Cob Senapati, led by Maj NM Singh, NM a Gallantry Awardee and his wife under the aegis of Col. Sandeep Sharma, Commandant 16 Assam Rifles, Maram, distributed relief materials and eatables on June 9 to needy children at CCM Caring Home for Boys, CCM Caring Home for Girls, CCM Adoption Centre, and Compassion Residential Academy, a charity school run by Compassion Children Ministries at Kathikho Karong, Senapati, Manipur which is one of the biggest Needy homes in the district.
This initiative came in response to the devastating flash floods that hit the CCM campus on May 31 and June 1, 2025, due to torrential rains, leaving the campus severely damaged and affected. The Assam Rifles team stepped in to provide essential support to the needy children.

Affected Areas: The CCM campus was one of the most affected areas in Senapati, with the flash floods causing significant damage.
