IMPHAL, Dec 27: Security forces arreated eight active cadres belonging to different factions of the banned Kangleipak Communist Party from different locations of Imphal East and Imphal West districts, a police statement informed on Saturday.
The cadres were all arrested on Thursday, police said.
Security forces arrested four active cadres of KCP (People’s War Group) from Andro Leitanpekpham area in Imphal East district.
One .32 pistol along with one magazine, three .32 live rounds, two radio sets were recovered from their possession.
Three active cadres of KCP (Taibanganba), who were temporarily residing at Langol Game Village Relief Camp were arrested from Langol Game village Zone-II area in Imphal West district.
One active cadre of KCP (Ibungo Ngangom), was arrested from a farmhouse at Langol in Imphal West district.
