KOHIMA, Oct 9: The Assam Rifles held its Investiture Ceremony at Dr. Imkongliba Ao Hall, Raj Bhavan, Kohima today. Governor La Ganesan awarded the prestigious Governor’s Gold and Silver Medals to 24 Assam Rifles personnel, recognizing their outstanding service. 

Among the honorees, 10 received the Governor’s Gold Medal and 14 were presented with the Governor’s Silver Medal. Governor’s Unit Appreciation was awarded to the 7th and 45th Assam Rifles Battalions for exemplary contributions.

Governor Ganesan commended Assam Rifles’ role in ensuring security and promoting stability, calling them vital pillars of peace and development in remote areas. He praised the awardees for inspiring both their comrades and the nation.
