The batch included 6 DySPs and 40 SIs from Meghalaya, 14 SIs from Assam, 13 DySPs and 6 SIs from Manipur, and 8 DySPs and 3 SIs from Nagaland. The officers, who began their training on December 4, 2023, were formally inducted into active service during the ceremony, which was reviewed by Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma.
Sangma, addressing the gathering, officially commissioned the officers into the police force. He commended the NEPA for its remarkable contributions over the past 46 years, having trained over 36,088 personnel. Emphasizing the importance of humility, he urged the newly commissioned officers to serve with dedication, empathy, and professionalism. “While you now hold positions of authority, always remember the importance of humility. Stay grounded, serve with dedication, and remain true to the responsibilities entrusted to you,” Sangma advised the graduates.

The parade was commanded by DySP Probationer D. Theingam Thangal of the Manipur Police Service, reflecting the discipline and rigorous training imparted by NEPA. Danesh Rana, IPS, Director of NEPA, administered the oath of service to the officers.
The event was attended by senior officials from Assam and Meghalaya, special invitees, families and relatives of the graduating officers, as well as NEPA staff and in-service trainees from the Explosives and Bomb Disposal Course and the Training of Trainers (ToT) program on Disaster Management.
