Manipur Police Arrest Four KCP(PWG) Members for Extortion in Kakching

IMPHAL, Dec 4: In a significant development, the Manipur police have arrested four members of the proscribed militant outfit KCP(PWG) from Kakching district for their alleged involvement in extortion and illegal arms possession.

The individuals, identified as Sandham Premkumar Singh (45), Saikhom Sidan Singh (33), Nongmaithem Haridash Singh (56), and Khundogbam Tomba Singh (40), were apprehended on Monday in the Lamkhai area of Kakching district.

During the arrest, the police seized one 7.26×25 mm M20 pistol with a magazine, ammunition, five mobile phones, a demand letter from KCP(PWG), and 80 blank tax receipts belonging to the group. The four were engaged in extortion activities and were found in possession of illegal firearms.
