SENAPATI, Dec 13: In a major anti-drug operation, Senapati Police seized 150 soap cases of brown sugar weighing 5.87 kgs (including the weight of the soap cases) from a residence in Chiphaodai village near Khabung Karong. The raid took place at 11:50 PM on December 12, 2024, at the house of Ms. N. Sohrii (40), d/o (L) Nasii Zhoh.
The operation was conducted by a combined team led by Addl SP (L/O) Senapati, Thangkhochon Haokip, MPS, and Addl SP (Ops) Senapati, H. Timothy Maram, MPS. The Night Quick Response Team (QR Team) of Senapati Police Station and three Women Police Constables from Senapati Women Police Station also participated in the raid.
Four individuals were arrested during the operation. The arrested persons were identified as Mr. Khovi (27) s/o Dakho; Mr. Raivikho (23), s/o Ngaokhaini; Mr. Lovi (24), s/o Dahrii and Mr. Veipoukho (23), s/o Kho, all from Chingmai Khullen, Senapati District.
The illegal drugs were seized, and a case has been registered at Senapati Police Station for further investigation.
