IMPHAL, Jan 28: Members of the DM University Tribal Students’ Union met with Manipur Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla at Raj Bhavan in Imphal today to submit a memorandum addressing concerns over the status of Scheduled Tribe (ST) scholarships for tribal students.
The memorandum highlighted the issue of pending ST scholarships and urged the Governor to intervene for their early disbursement. In response, Governor Bhalla assured the students that he would look into the matter and take steps to resolve the issue in their best interest.
In a separate event, five IPS probationers—Diksha Langthasa, Divya, Jay Barange, Chaitanya, and Kunal Uttam Shrote—also paid a courtesy call to Governor Bhalla at Raj Bhavan. This visit marked their formal introduction during their ongoing training tenure.
