GUWAHATI, Feb 1: In a glittering celebration of elegance and cultural pride, Pheiroijam Christina Devi from Imphal, Manipur, Gracy Nandy from Shillong, Meghalaya, and Chayanika Handique from Karbi Anglong, Assam, were crowned as the winners of the 21st Livon Mega Miss Northeast 2025. The event, held at the ITA Cultural Complex in Guwahati, saw the three women equally sharing the prestigious title, with no runners-up named, emphasizing the exceptional talent and beauty from Northeast India.

The Livon Mega Miss Northeast pageant, created by fashion entrepreneur Abhijeet Singha and produced by Mega Entertainment, has been a significant platform for empowering young women from the region. This year’s event attracted great enthusiasm during its eight-city audition tour and culminated in an intensive grooming and training camp in Guwahati for the 57 finalists.

Abhijeet Singha, Founder of Mega Entertainment, extended his heartfelt congratulations to the winners, noting how the event has evolved into a gateway for global opportunities. He highlighted that the winners embody empowerment, resilience, and cultural pride, and expressed his excitement for their journey towards international recognition.

Pheiroijam Christina Devi, a BA English student at Royal Global University, Guwahati, hails from Imphal, Manipur. Her father is a businessman, and her mother is a homemaker.

Gracy Nandy, from Shillong, Meghalaya, is a second-year BA student at St. Edmund’s College. Her father works as a government employee, and her mother runs a parlour business.

Chayanika Handique, pursuing her BSc from Diphu Government College in Karbi Anglong, Assam, credits her homemaker mother for inspiring her journey.

Livon, the title sponsor of the event, celebrated the individuality and accomplishments of the winners. Somasree Bose Awasthi, Chief Marketing Officer at Marico Limited, commended the winners for their achievements and expressed Livon’s pride in supporting transformative journeys. Awasthi also highlighted how the partnership with Mega Miss Northeast aligns with Livon’s brand philosophy, #SalonHairOnTheGo, and how this year’s winners have broken boundaries while showcasing the vibrant beauty of Northeast India on the global stage.

The event was supported by the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, under the Incredible India banner, which helped highlight the region’s rich cultural heritage. As part of the prize, the winners received a package valued at over ₹50,000, which includes travel opportunities, professional representation by Mega Entertainment, brand engagements, and public relations support from Life’s Purple, the official PR Partner. The winners will also represent India on international platforms.

The Grand Finale, graced by Fran Zafra, Mister International 2024, celebrated the talent and cultural richness of Northeast India. The evening concluded with the winners embarking on a transformative journey of self-discovery, recognition, and a bright future ahead, inspiring a new generation of young women to dream big and pursue their aspirations.
