IMPHAL, March 3: The Physics question paper for the ongoing Higher Secondary School Leaving Certificate Examination (HSSLCE) 2025, conducted by the Council of Higher Secondary Education Manipur (CoHSEM), was leaked on Monday. The leak surfaced on various social media platforms in the Manipur valley prior to the examination.
Addressing the media, general secretary of the Students’ Union of Kangleikak, Manipur (SUK), confirmed the leak and urged the authorities to conduct a thorough investigation. He emphasized that strict action should be taken against those responsible, with a call for severe punishment to prevent such incidents in the future.
This leak comes after the commencement of the Class XII exams under CoHSEM on February 17, with 29,065 students across 112 examination centers in the state participating. In response, official sources indicated that a complaint had been filed with the state cybercrime police station, and an investigation was underway. Authorities assured that those responsible for the leak would be arrested soon.
The incident follows a similar incident earlier when the Social Science question paper for the High School Leaving Certificate Examination (HSLCE) 2025 was also leaked. In that case, the Manipur Cyber Crime Unit made arrests, charging two individuals under the Manipur Prevention of Malpractices in High School Leaving Certificate and Higher Secondary Examination Act 2024, the IPC, and the Cyber Crime Act.
