NEW DELHI, March 14: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced that Class 12 students who are unable to appear for the Hindi exam on March 15 due to Holi celebrations will be given another opportunity to write the paper at a later date.
CBSE Examination Controller Sanyam Bhardwaj stated that while Holi will be celebrated on March 14 in most parts of the country, some regions will observe the festival on March 15, or the celebrations may extend into that day. Based on this feedback, the board has decided to accommodate affected students.
“The examination will be held as per schedule, but students who find it difficult to appear on March 15 due to Holi can choose to write the paper on a later date,” Bhardwaj said.
He further clarified that these students would be allowed to take the exam along with candidates for whom a special examination is conducted under CBSE’s policy. This provision is usually extended to students participating in national or international sports events.
