SENAPATI, May 9: In a bid to strengthen efforts for preserving the environment and promoting sustainable development, the Senapati Forest Division has announced a one-day awareness program on “Forest Conservation, Forest Fire and Wildlife”. The event is scheduled to take place on May 15, 2025 (Thursday) at 9:30 AM in the Conference Hall of the Autonomous District Council in Senapati district, Manipur.
According to the circular, ” Forests and wildlife are vital for maintaining healthy ecosystems, regulating climate, supporting biodiversity, and providing clean air and water in the district. A collaborative effort between government agencies, NGOs, local communities, and citizens is needed to ensure the long-term health and resilience of the ecosystem.”
The Divisional Forest Officer, Shanngam S, has urged the Chairman and Secretaries of villages under Senapati district to attend and participate in the program. The Senapati Forest Division aims to engage the community in proactive efforts to conserve forests, prevent forest fires, and preserve wildlife for future generations.
