IMPHAL, May 19: In a major step toward strengthening cybercrime investigation capabilities, Manipur Police has inaugurated a state-of-the-art Cyber Lab at the Imphal East District Police Headquarters. The facility was officially opened by L. Kailun, Additional Director General of Police (Law and Order), on Sunday in a ceremony attended by several senior police officials.

The inauguration marks a pivotal development in the state’s efforts to combat the growing threat of cybercrime. According to an official statement from Manipur Police, “The lab will be of immense help to the police in investigation of cases. More such labs will be established in other districts also.”

The newly established Cyber Lab is expected to significantly enhance the police’s ability to investigate complex cyber-related cases and analyze digital evidence effectively.
