According to an official release from HQ IGAR(E), the incident involved a 30-year-old man, Mr. Hastaman, a resident of Rai Basti village, Manipur, who sustained a venomous snake bite and was brought to the Assam Rifles medical facility in a serious condition.
Assam Rifles medical personnel acted swiftly with urgency and professionalism, administering anti-venom and providing the necessary first aid. The timely medical intervention proved crucial in stabilizing the victim’s condition. Following the initial treatment, Mr. Hastaman was shifted to a civilian medical facility for further care and observation.
