IMPHAL, July 14: A delegation from the Naga People’s Organisation (NPO), led by Mr. H. Kuba Peter, called on the Governor of Manipur, Ajay Kumar Bhalla, at Raj Bhavan on Monday to present a memorandum outlining key developmental concerns and cultural initiatives in the district.
The NPO delegation urged the Governor to facilitate the implementation of three key projects aimed at improving connectivity and accelerating overall development in the region.
Apart from development concerns, the delegation also briefed the Governor on the ongoing preparations for the Barak River Festival—an important cultural event in the district.

Meanwhile, the governor also convened a comprehensive review meeting at Raj Bhavan, Imphal, for Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) residing in various relief camps across the state. The meeting attended by Chief Secretary, Deputy Commissioner of Imphal West, and other senior officials discussed various initiatives and activities being taken up for the IDP by the State administration.
During the presentation, officials briefed the Governor on the management of IDPs through a dedicated portal. The discussions highlighted the government’s commitment for enhancing coordination and delivering public services effectively.
