Imphal, July 19: Amid ongoing tensions in Manipur, Director General of Police (DGP) Rajiv Singh undertook a crucial visit to Bishnupur and Churachandpur districts on July 18 to assess the prevailing law and order situation and reinforce inter-agency coordination on the ground.
During his visit, the DGP held a series of meetings with senior officers from the District Police, Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), MPS probationers, Officer-in-Charges, commando units, and women police personnel. These engagements aimed at enhancing coordination among security agencies and strengthening morale in the face of continued security challenges in the region.
According to an official police statement, the visit was part of a broader commitment to maintaining public order and recognizing the dedication of police personnel. The DGP praised the officers for their tireless service and urged continued vigilance and cooperation in maintaining peace and stability.
The day concluded with a felicitation ceremony in Bishnupur district, where the DGP presented the DGP’s Disc and Commendation to select police personnel for their exemplary dedication and performance.
