Imphal, July 28: Postal services across the Manipur Division are poised for a significant digital transformation as the Department of Posts prepares to implement the Advanced Postal Technology (APT) application in all post offices under the North East Circle. The upgraded system is set to go live on August 4, 2025, ushering in a new era of faster and more efficient service delivery.
In a press release issued by the Superintendent of Post Offices, Manipur Division, the department described the move as a key step toward achieving digital excellence and enhancing the overall customer experience. The APT system is designed to streamline postal operations, offering a user-friendly interface and improved reliability for public transactions.
To facilitate a smooth transition, all postal services will be temporarily suspended on August 2, 2025. The one-day downtime is necessary for critical tasks including data migration, system validation, and configuration before the new application is fully activated.
The department has urged the public to plan their postal activities in advance and expressed regret for any inconvenience caused. However, it emphasized that the short-term disruption is essential for delivering long-term improvements to postal services in the region.
