IMPHAL, Aug 2: In a proud moment for the state, Manipur has been recognized as the Best North East State in Organ Donation and Transplantation during the 15th Indian Organ Donation Day (IODD). The award acknowledges the state’s significant strides in promoting organ donation awareness, building robust medical infrastructure, and advancing life-saving transplant procedures.
The award ceremony is scheduled to take place on August 2, 2025, at Bhim Hall, Dr. Ambedkar International Centre in New Delhi, with Union Health Minister Shri J.P. Nadda attending as the Chief Guest. The event will celebrate states and institutions making impactful contributions in the field of organ donation.
