Imphal, August 22: Manipur Director General of Police (DGP) Rajiv Singh undertook a visit to Tengnoupal and Thoubal districts to review the law-and-order situation, boost police morale, and strengthen coordination with security agencies and community groups.
At Moreh Police Station, Singh interacted with police and commando personnel, urging them to remain motivated in their service. He also held discussions with community-based organisations in Moreh, followed by visits to Tengnoupal Police Station and the district headquarters. There, he commended the force for its role in maintaining law and order and combating the state’s persistent drug menace.
The DGP also met with Assam Rifles officials to review the security situation in the sensitive border district, including strategies related to border fencing and cross-border crime prevention.
Later, during his stop at Thoubal district, Singh chaired a meeting with senior district officers and station in-charges to assess ongoing challenges such as case investigations, public safety, and anti-narcotics operations.
