Senapati, Sept 2: A five-day Barista Training Programme, organized by the Senapati Entrepreneurs Association in collaboration with the Coffee Board of India, began yesterday at Buddy Brew Coffee Bar in Senapati. The training, which runs from September 1 to 5, aims to equip participants with professional barista skills and promote coffee culture in the region.

Held under the theme “Barista Skills for a Perfect Cup – A Bean to Brew Journey: Master the Art of Brewing,” the program is being led by Sri Yathish Gowda, an experienced Barista Trainer from the Coffee Board of India. Participants will also receive practical training in brewing techniques, preparation of premium coffee beverages, and customer service essentials — skills considered vital for success in the coffee industry.
A total of 16 participants from Senapati and Ukhrul districts enrolled in the training. On successful completion, each participant will be awarded certificates by the Coffee Board of India.

With hands-on learning and professional guidance, the initiative is expected to positively impact the local coffee industry and open new opportunities for youth in the region.
