Senapati, September 22:   The students of Naga Public School, Koide Büsho, were inspired as Captain Roveinai Paotei, the first Naga lady pilot from the Poumai Naga community, addressed them in a special session on Monday morning. Captain Paotei, who earned her Commercial Pilot License (CPL) in Australia, shared her journey and words of encouragement.

She reminded students that “God has a purpose for each one of us, and when God is at the center of our lives, everything finds true meaning.”

Highlighting that education is not limited to textbooks, she encouraged students to explore and “discover new things every day.” Urging them not to fear failure, she recounted her own struggles, saying each setback taught her to rise stronger. “Life itself is a challenge,” she added, emphasizing that effort and determination bring one closer to success.

Captain Paotei also paid tribute to teachers, calling them “the real heroes and builders of society.” While often unrecognized, she said, their dedication shapes the future of countless students.

Encouraging students to be bold, she advised them to “think out of the box” and pursue goals that few dare to attempt. During the interactive session, when a student asked why she became a pilot, she replied, “I wanted to take the less-travelled road—it is more challenging.”

Her humility and sincerity left a lasting impression, with students admiring not only her achievements but also her simplicity and grounded nature.
