Imphal, October 14: Veihriilou Lanah, winner of Mr. Deaf India 2025, met Manipur Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla at Raj Bhavan, Imphal, on Tuesday to seek support for his participation in the upcoming Mr. Deaf International Contest in Genoa, Italy, scheduled from November 28 to December 8, 2025.
Lanah, who hails from Senapati, Manipur, was crowned at the 12th edition of the national pageant held in Punjab on August 30–31, 2025. During the meeting, he discussed his preparations and aspirations for representing India on the global stage.
Governor Bhalla congratulated Lanah on his remarkable achievement, praising his efforts to promote inclusivity and empower persons with disabilities. He expressed confidence that Lanah’s participation in the international contest would bring honour and recognition not only to Manipur but to the entire nation.
