Senapati, October 16 (DIO- IPR): The District Administration, Senapati organised District Level Inter School & College Literary Meet 2025 yesterday at Mini Secretariat Complex, Senapati. It is an initiative of District Administration that aimed schools and colleges students to foster literary excellence, creativity, and intellectual engagement among students across the district.
The events of yesterday’s District Level Inter School & College Literary Meet 2025 include Debate, Extempore, Video/ Reel Making and presentation, Painting, Essay, and Quiz was participated by 14 schools and colleges altogether- Don Bosco Hr. Secondary School, Maram, Mave School, Bethany Higher Secondary School, D.V. School, Grace English School, Mt. Zion Senior Secondary School, Senapati Govt. High School, Netaji Subash Chandra Bose Awariya Vidalaya, Mt. Everest Hr. Secondary School, Samaritan Public School, Hills Academy of Science, Mt. Everest College, and Don Bosco College, Maram.
Addressing the gathering, the Deputy Commissioner of Senapati Mamoni Doley, IAS welcomed the gathering and participants of the competitions to District Level Inter School & College Literary Meet. She emphasized on the importance of participation of extra co-curricular activities which will boost personalities and confidence in the future beside from their daily academic routines. She also encouraged the student to take as an opportunity in mingling and interacting with other schools. She extended her best wishes to all the participants with the spirit of competitiveness, fairness and abides by the rules during the event.
In the welcome note, Ngaonii Panii, SDC, Senapati recalled the similar district level programme first of its kind was held in 2010. He also underscored the needs of this programme to build the skill of presentation and critical thinking for student in their further studies and future. Besides, the SDC highlighted the today’s event competition and various featured corner that include photobooth, display of pictures on Senapati tourism places and signature corner.
During the programme, the gathering was enthralled with Handbell performance from Somang School, special item from Don Bosco Taphou Onaeme and special song by Liihva Kyapaomai.
As part of the programme, prizes were distributed to all winners along with certificates and cash award and certificates of participation to all the partakers of the competitions. Don Bosco Higher Secondary School, Maram were awarded as the Best Participation Award.
The programme was attended by District Level Officers, School Principals and Teachers.
