Naga People’s Declaration Calls for Inclusive and Honourable Solution Based on Framework Agreement

SENAPATI, Oct 29:    The United Naga Council (UNC), along with representatives from various Naga bodies, reaffirmed their unwavering commitment to the Framework Agreement and the leadership of the National Socialist Council of Nagalim (NSCN) during a historic civic reception held in honour of Thuingaleng Muivah, Ato Kilonser of the Government of the People’s Republic of Nagalim (GPRN) and Chief Negotiator of the NSCN (IM), at Senapati on Wednesday .

The declaration is endorsed by the United Naga Council (UNC), All Naga Students’ Association, Manipur (ANSAM), Naga Women’s Union (NWU), Naga Peoples Movement for Human Rights-South (NPMHR-South), President of Tribe Hohos, President of District Apex Bodies, and Chief/Chairman of Naga village chairmen who attended the historic civic reception programme.

In the declaration adopted, the Nagas of Manipur collectively pledged their continued support to the NSCN/GPRN leadership in representing the interests and rights of the Naga people in the ongoing Indo-Naga political Talk.

“We reiterate our declared stance for an inclusive, honourable and acceptable solution to the Indo-Naga Political issue based on the Framework Agreement, signed between the Government of India and the National Socialist Council of Nagalim on August 3, 2015,” the declaration stated.

Expressing unity and solidarity, it also reaffirmed their shared aspiration for self-determination and a collective future with all Nagas across regions.
