SENAPATI, Oct 30: Youth Rise for Change (YR4C), Senapati, has strongly condemned the press statements published in the Hornbill Express newspaper on October 17 and 18, 2025, which allegedly contained “reckless and baseless” allegations against R.K. Paul Chawang.
In a press relaese issued on Thursday, YR4C described the accusations as “malicious” and aimed at defaming R.K. Paul Chawang. The youth organization stated, “We, Youth Rise for Change, strongly condemn the press statement dated 17th and 18th October 2025, published in Hornbill Express, making reckless allegations against R.K. Paul Chawang without any evidence. The signatories’ claims are baseless and malicious, aimed at defaming R.K. Paul Chawang.”
“We demand to provide concrete proof to support the allegations. Failing which, we will initiate legal action against them,” the YR4C legal team stated in the release.
YR4C has also urged the signatories of the press statement to issue a public apology and retract their remarks by November 6, 2025, cautioning that non-compliance will invite legal consequences.
In a separate letter addressed to the Editor of Hornbill Express, YR4C expressed strong objection to the newspaper’s publication of the statements. The organization reiterated that the Hornbill Express had published defamatory content without verifying the facts.
