SENAPATI, Nov 13: The Centre has rolled out a significant development programme for the Maram Tribe under the Prime Minister’s Jan Man Scheme, a flagship initiative dedicated to uplifting vulnerable and particularly marginalised communities across India.

As part of the scheme, an annual allocation of ₹9 crore has been sanctioned to support a range of welfare projects. These include the implementation of PMAY (Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana), PM Ayushman Bharat, and the construction of Anganwadi Centres, community halls, and water storage facilities. Additionally, funds have been earmarked for the preservation of the Maram community’s traditional Morung, cultural heritage, and ancestral practices.
