KANGPOKPI, Nov 28: As part of the Diamond Jubilee Celebrations of BSF Raising Day, the 105 Battalion of the Border Security Force (BSF), currently deployed at IIIT College, Myangkhang, Kangpokpi District, successfully organised a comprehensive outreach programme on minor welfare projects and Manipur government schemes on Friday at Hengbung-II Village .

The event, aimed at enhancing public awareness about various welfare schemes implemented by the Manipur State Government and ensuring their benefits reach the intended beneficiaries. Acting on a formal request from the BSF, the Deputy Commissioner of Kangpokpi district deputed a Welfare Officer for the programme. The officer shared detailed information on ongoing government initiatives and facilitated discussions on effective implementation in the region.

The programme witnessed active participation from local residents, community leaders, self-help groups, and frontline workers. Officials highlighted key schemes related to healthcare, education, and agricultural support while underscoring the importance of public awareness in strengthening last-mile delivery. “Our priority is to ensure that no eligible citizen is left out of the benefits provided by the government. Through this outreach initiative, we aim to bridge information gaps and bring services closer to the people,” the Officer said.
Informational brochures, digital guidance materials, and grievance redress support were also distributed to participants. The local administration announced that similar outreach activities will be conducted across other villages and wards in the coming weeks to ensure wider coverage.

The programme concluded with an interactive session where residents raised concerns and sought guidance directly from officials. The Commandant of the 105 Battalion BSF expressed gratitude for the expected cooperation and support from the district administration, emphasising the significance of community engagement as part of the Diamond Jubilee celebrations.
