IMPHAL, Dec 1: Security Forces arrested four persons along with a huge amount of unaccounted cash of Rs 57 lakhs in Manipur’s Kamjong district, police said on Monday.
The arrest were made on Friday during a routine checking at Phaikoh outpost under Chassad police station in Kamjong district, police said adding the arrested are suspected to be related to unknown insurgent groups.
They have been identified as Nengneihoi Khongsai (24) of Seijang in Senapati district, Mangminthang Haokip (29) of C Asian village in Senapati district, Mangjoithang Haokip (27) of Seijang village in Senapati district and Lempu Khongsai (39) of Nengboi Village in Kangpokpi district.
Cash amount of Rs. 57,77,700 were recovered from their possesion.
