KOHIMA, Dec 5: Linoka K Achumi, an 18-year-old rising talent, was crowned Miss Nagaland 2025 at a dazzling ceremony held on Thursday at the Regional Centre of Excellence for Music & Performing Arts (RCEMPA), Jotsoma, as part of the ongoing Hornbill Festival celebrations.
Organised under the theme “Grace and Beauty – The Woman in You,” the event showcased Nagaland’s vibrant culture, creativity, and the growing prominence of young women in public platforms. The pageant was hosted by the Beauty & Aesthetic Society of Nagaland (BASN) in collaboration with the Departments of Tourism and Higher Education.
Linoka triumphed after multiple rounds of competition featuring interviews, thematic presentations, and stage performances. Bendangienla secured the first runner-up title, while Christina H Yeptho was named second runner-up. The top five finalists included Linoka K Achumi, Bendangienla, Christina H Yeptho, Kechangunuo Kelio, and Linoka Yepthomi.
A series of subtitle awards added to the evening’s glitter. Omai Rebecca Konyak won Miss Perfect 10, Linoka K Achumi claimed Miss Multimedia, Grace Kikon earned Miss Beautiful Smile, Linoka Yepthomi was awarded Miss Talent, Susana Kinghen won Miss Photogenic, and Christina H Yeptho took home the Queen of Hearts title.
The judging panel featured leading personalities from the fields of pageantry, fashion, entrepreneurship, and public service — including Easternlight Zimik, Dr. Abraham Lee, Ruopfuzhano Whiso, Vikuonuo Sachü, and Talisangla Nokdir.
Organisers said this year’s edition reaffirmed the state’s commitment to celebrating talent, poise, and cultural identity while empowering young Naga women with opportunities in modelling, leadership, and social engagement.
