SENAPATI, Jan 3: Assam Rifles celebrated the New Year with Women Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) of Senapati district at Maram, Manipur, on Saturday.

The celebration was organised to strengthen civil-military relations and to acknowledge the constructive role played by women CSOs in promoting peace, harmony and social cohesion in the region.

During the interaction, issues concerning community welfare, women empowerment and challenges faced by the local population were discussed.

Assam Rifles reaffirmed its commitment towards supporting the local community and working jointly for development and stability in the area.
