IMPHAL, Jan 6 (NNN): The National People’s Party (NPP) Manipur state unit, strongly condemned the series of bomb blasts that occurred in the Saiton area under Kumbi assembly constituency, Bishnupur district, Manipur on Monday.
In a statement issued by Lakpachui Siro, general secretary (administration) of Manipur state unit of the party, the NPP urged both the state and central governments to take swift and decisive action to ensure justice and accountability. “The concerned authorities must ensure that the individual(s) or organization(s) responsible for this heinous and unacceptable act are identified and brought to justice at the earliest”, it demanded.
The NPP, Manipur State Unit, then extended its heartfelt solidarity to all the affected families and “sincerely reaffirms our commitment” to work tirelessly for peace, justice, and harmony in the state.
The NPP then appealed to all citizens of Manipur to choose dialogue over violence, and peace over chaos. “Let us walk together towards a peaceful, stable, and prosperous Manipur”, it added.
