New Delhi, Sept 24: Union Minister for the Development of North Eastern Region, Jyotiraditya Scindia, announced that the NDA government, under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has allocated a remarkable Rs 5 lakh crore to North Eastern States through 54 Ministries over the last ten years.
During a press conference to discuss the Ministry’s accomplishments in the past 100 days, Scindia highlighted that the budget for the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER) has increased significantly, jumping from Rs 2,332 crore in 2014 to Rs 5,892 crore—an impressive rise of 152%.
Scindia reaffirmed the government’s strong dedication to enhancing the North Eastern region, pointing out the substantial benefits of these investments on local infrastructure, economic development, and overall quality of life.
This surge in funding demonstrates the government’s goal of transforming the area into a dynamic region with a robust economy and thriving population.
