Imphal, Sept 27: In recent operations aimed at bolstering security across Manipur’s hill and valley regions, security forces have successfully recovered a large quantity of arms and explosives on Thursday. These actions are part of a concerted effort to stabilize the area and address ongoing security concerns.
In Thoubal District, Assam Rifles (AR) recovered an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) from Salam Patong village, under the jurisdiction of Nongpok Sekmai Police Station.
In another joint operation in Churachandpur District, Manipur Police and AR seized a 9mm country-made pistol, a single-barrel gun, 6200 kyat of Myanmar currency, a bulletproof jacket, and camouflage clothing from Suangdai (Tuikui Muallum) village.

Meanwhile, in Kangpokpi District, Manipur Police and CRPF recovered a locally-made improvised projectile launcher measuring 2.5 meters, a tripod, 11 unused bombs (weighing around 1.5 kg each), and 10 empty bomb casings from Haraothel and Lambung Hill Top.
These operations are part of ongoing efforts to curb the spread of illegal arms and maintain peace in the region.
