Imphal, Sept 28: Daljit Singh Chaudhary, the Director General of the Border Security Force (BSF) on Saturday traveled to Manipur to assess the current security situation and operational readiness of the force following a recent surge in violence.
After arriving at Imphal Airport, he proceeded to Moreh, a sensitive border town, where he engaged with BSF commanders and troops, recognizing their efforts to maintain peace.
During his visit, Chaudhary also inspected the Integrated Check Post (ICP) in Moreh and conducted a Sainik Sammelan at the BSF CI (Ops) headquarters in Manipur. He addressed the officers and jawans, praising their dedication and encouraging them to uphold professionalism and resilience in their duties.
Additionally, Chaudhary met with key state officials, including Director General of Police Rajiv Singh and Chief Secretary Vineet Joshi, to discuss the prevailing security challenges in Manipur. His visit highlights the vital role of security forces in sustaining order during this turbulent period in the state.
