Assam Rifles and Manipur Police Recover ₹2.31 Crores Worth of Heroin in Mao Gate

SENAPATI, Nov 17: In a major breakthrough, a joint operation by the Assam Rifles and Manipur Police on Sunday resulted in the recovery of 578 grams of heroin, valued at approximately ₹2.31 crores in the international market.

The operation, carried out along NH-02 between Tadubi and Mao Gate in Senapati district, was based on credible intelligence. The contraband was recovered near Marty’s Park, Mao Gate, following meticulous planning by the security forces.

The seized heroin, along with the vehicle used and the apprehended individual, was handed over to the Mao police station for further investigation and legal proceedings.
