KANGPOKPI, Feb 8: In a significant step towards improving sanitation and public hygiene, Assam Rifles has constructed and dedicated a toilet block at Saikul Bazar in Kangpokpi District, Manipur under the Operation Sadbhavana on 04 Feb 2025. The initiative aims to enhance the quality of life of the local community by providing better sanitation facilities.
The toilet block was officially handed over to the local authorities in a ceremony attended by village authorities, local population and personnel of Assam Rifles.
This initiative is a part of Assam Rifles’ broader efforts under Operation Sadbhavana to uplift underdeveloped regions by improving essential services such as education, healthcare and sanitation. The village authorities and local populace expressed their gratitude for the project.
