SENAPATI, Mar 1: Assam Rifles organised an educational and recreational outing for 55 children from Hope Home Orphanage and Shelter Home, run by the Manipur North Economic Development Association in Senapati.
The day opened with an enjoyable morning at a water amusement park, where the children took part in various activities. Later in the afternoon, they visited S. Molnom village, regarded as the cleanest village in Manipur, where they were introduced to the village’s practices and community life.
For many of the children, who are orphans, such an outing was a rare experience. The initiative offered them a brief pause from daily struggles and allowed them to share moments of laughter and companionship. Their smiles spoke of a day well spent.
Through this gesture, Assam Rifles underlined its commitment to community welfare. By reaching out to children in need, the force sought to encourage confidence, hope and a sense of belonging, reflecting a role that extends beyond its security responsibilities.
