Imphal, October 4: In a major initiative to enhance healthcare access in Manipur, a three-day mega medical camp will be held from 5 to 7 October 2025 across nine locations in the state. The effort, led by the Assam Rifles in close coordination with the Indian Medical Association (IMA), aims to bring expert medical care to communities in need, including internally displaced persons and residents of remote districts.
The outreach will cover nine carefully selected locations across both valley and hill regions. On 5 October, medical teams will be deployed to Lilong, Moreh, Chakpikarong, and Sajik; on 6 October, they will serve Tuibong, Pallel, and Joupi; and on 7 October, the teams will reach Kangpokpi, Hiangtem Lamka, and Sugnu.
A total of 31 medical professionals, including 23 specialist doctors and 8 associates, will participate in the camp. They have been organised into three specialised teams, each covering designated locations to provide free consultations, screenings, and treatments tailored to the specific health needs of local communities.
Specialists participating include experts in MD Medicine, Gynaecology, Orthopaedics, Dermatology, Paediatrics, ENT, Physiology, General Medicine, and Dentistry, ensuring that residents receive comprehensive and targeted care during the three-day outreach.
