SENAPATI, May 21: In a major breakthrough against drug trafficking, Assam Rifles, in coordination with the local police, conducted a successful search operation at Mao Gate in Senapati district on Tuesday. The operation was part of ongoing efforts to curb drug trafficking in the region.
During the operation, two individuals suspected to be involved in illegal drug activities were apprehended. Security personnel recovered 38 soap cases containing brown sugar. The total weight of the seized narcotics is approximately 442 grams, with an estimated market value of ₹89.40 lakhs.
This successful joint operation underscores the unwavering commitment of Assam Rifles and Manipur Police to counter drug trafficking and uphold peace and security in the region.
