Assam Rifles organised a friendly volleyball match with a team from Songsong village Youth at Mao Company Operating Base on 25 May 2025. The event aimed to encourage youth participation in sports, foster a spirit of healthy competition, and promote a vibrant sports culture in the border villages of Manipur. It also sought to provide the youth with a platform to channelise their energy in a positive direction.

Prior to the match, the participants were briefed on the growing sports culture in India, the importance of a healthy and stress-free lifestyle, and the various career opportunities available in the field of sports. They were inspired to pursue their passion and resolved to strive to bring laurels to their families, the state, and the nation.

A total of 20 enthusiastic youths took part in the event. The village authorities and players expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the Assam Rifles for organising such a meaningful and encouraging initiative.
