Senapati, July 15: Senapati district is experiencing a surge in vehicle fuel thefts. Reports indicate that fuel is being siphoned from parked vehicles, with the most recent incident occurring at Church Road Colony. A victim discovered the theft when attempting to refuel, only to find that six others had faced similar issues at the same petrol pump.
The thefts have led to a shortage of petrol pipes at local motor parts shops due to demand from affected customers. In response, one victim has offered a reward of up to ₹1 lakh for information leading to the arrest of the culprits.
Senapati police have yet to receive official complaints about these thefts, though they have recently addressed a similar case involving mobile shop thefts in Senapati Bazaar.
We should be ashamed of this kind of activities. Police should swiftly catch the culprit and bring him to justice.
General public as well as concerned department should be vigilant and bring those culprit to daylight soon.
