The meeting saw participation from prominent officials, including DC Jiribam, DIG CRPF Jiribam, Commandant 39 Assam Rifles, SP Jiribam, and Commandant 87 Battalion CRPF, along with delegates from Thadou, Mizo, and Paite communities.
The discussions led to several important agreements designed to restore and sustain peace in the region. The agreements include a joint effort to curb incidents of arson and firing, ensure full support for security forces, and manage controlled and coordinated movement throughout the area.
The meeting highlighted the importance of communication and cooperation between communities. All parties involved demonstrated a shared commitment to resolving conflicts and preventing further violence.
They scheduled a follow-up meeting after August 15, 2024, to further these peace efforts.
I thought, finally some progress in the peace process. Why did the Kuki people declared it void ?
