Senapati, August 1:      Showcasing exceptional community spirit and resilience, the Senapati District Students Association (SDSA) organized the “Run for Peace in Manipur” marathon on Thursday, attracting an enthusiastic crowd to the picturesque Senapati hills. Despite some schools being unable to participate due to local disturbances, the event successfully promoted unity and peace throughout the district.

The marathon commenced at 7:00 AM from the Sanyi Dahrii Sports Complex in Khabung Karong and concluded at the Senapati Traffic Point. Participants ran with enthusiasm and determination, embodying the marathon’s theme of peace and community solidarity.

This marathon served as a prelude to the Senapati District Inter-School Sports Meet 2024, organized by the SDSA, running from August 3 to August 7 at the Senapati Outdoor Stadium, District HQ. The week-long sports meet is set to unite students from various schools in a spirit of camaraderie and competitive excellence.
