A recent Morning Consult survey reveals that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi continues to hold the top spot as the most popular global leader, with a substantial approval rating of 69%. The survey, conducted from July 8 to July 14, highlights Modi’s enduring international appeal.
Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador ranks second with a 63% approval rating. The survey also sheds light on the approval ratings of other significant global leaders, demonstrating a broad range of public support.
US President Joe Biden has an approval rating of 39%, while Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s rating is 29%. UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer stands at 45%, and French President Emmanuel Macron has a lower approval rating of 20%.
The top ten most popular global leaders as of July 2024, according to the survey, are:
- India – Prime Minister Narendra Modi (69%)
- Mexico – President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador (63%)
- Argentina – President Javier Milei (60%)
- Switzerland– Federal Councillor Viola Amherd (52%)

At the lower end of the scale, Japan’s Prime Minister Fumio Kishida has the lowest approval rating at 16%. Czech Republic Prime Minister Petr Fiala, South Korean President Yoon Suk-Yeol, and Japan’s Kishida also rank among the least favored leaders.
