Tadubi, Sept 4: A devastating landslide at Pherima has severely disrupted fuel supply lines, sparking a frantic rush for fuel across the region connecting via Pherima: Nagaland to Manipur. Since early morning, long queues of vehicles have formed at petrol pumps, with the situation at Tadubi Petrol Pump reaching crisis point due to a complete depletion of diesel stocks.
To manage the dwindling supply, petrol pump staff have implemented strict measures, including a ban on filling jerry cans and jars. Meanwhile, the black market is exploiting the shortage, with diesel prices skyrocketing to Rs. 100 per liter at the time of filing this report. Fuel price may increase more in black market if the supply of fuel crisis continue.
Authorities are urged to intervene and regulate fuel pricing to prevent panic buying and further escalation. Residents are advised to stay informed, avoid unnecessary travel, and cooperate with efforts to restore normal fuel distribution as soon as possible.
