Manipur, Meghalaya, and Arunachal Pradesh Schools Advance to Knockout Stage of 63rd Subroto Cup

In the ongoing 63rd Subroto Cup Junior Boys International Football Tournament in New Delhi, schools from Manipur, Meghalaya, and Arunachal Pradesh have progressed to the knockout stage.

On Thursday,Mizoram’s RMSA High School edged closer to the knockout stage with a narrow 1-0 win over Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protisthan, thanks to a decisive penalty by Stephen in the second half of their Group B clash.

Haryana’s Lord Krishna Senior Secondary School secured their place in the quarterfinals with a 2-0 victory against Tripura Sports School. Having won all three of their group matches, the Haryana team has guaranteed their spot in the last eight, although they still have one final group match on September 6, 2024.

Additionally, teams from Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, and Manipur have also advanced to the quarterfinals. Myngken Christian Higher Secondary School from Meghalaya, Govt. Secondary School from Arunachal Pradesh, and T.G English School from Manipur have all earned their places in the knockout stage.

The quarterfinals are scheduled for September 7, 2024.
