Senapati, Sep 17:    The Special Operation Team of Senapati Police Station successfully intercepted an Ecco van with Regn. No. MN08A-0905 during a routine checking and frisking operation at Hengbung along National Highway-2 on Monday at around 3:30 pm.

The vehicle, en route to Senapati from Kangpokpi, was found to be carrying 60 liters of locally made liquor, valued at Rs. 6,000.

The driver, identified as Henry Huileng (50), son of Vashum from TNK, Senapati Village, was taken into custody. Following standard procedures, both the driver and the seized liquor were handed over to the Officer-in-Charge of the Excise Station, Senapati, for further legal action.
