Beirut, Sept 26: The Indian Embassy in Beirut has issued a strong advisory against travel to Lebanon, urging Indian nationals currently in the country to evacuate immediately due to the intensifying conflict between Israel and Hezbollah. This warning comes in light of the recent escalation in violence, including Israeli airstrikes that have resulted in significant casualties and destruction.
As of now, reports indicate that Israeli airstrikes have killed at least 558 individuals, including 50 children, and injured over 1,800. In response, Hezbollah has launched retaliatory rocket attacks against Israel, further heightening tensions in the region.
The Embassy has emphasized that Indians in Lebanon should exercise extreme caution, limit their movements, and maintain regular contact with diplomatic officials. The situation remains fluid, and the Embassy has stated that travel restrictions will remain in place until further notice.
Authorities are urging all Indian citizens to prioritize their safety and take immediate steps to leave Lebanon amidst the ongoing unrest.
