Delhi Police Busts Illegal Arms Factory in Meerut, Two arrested

New Delhi, Oct 6:   Delhi Police arrested two individuals on Sunday for allegedly running an interstate illegal arms supply ring in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. The suspects, Ikram and Mashook Ali, are accused of supplying and manufacturing illicit weapons.

The operation was initiated after police received a tip-off that Ikram was heading to Delhi to deliver arms to criminals. Under the leadership of Inspector Gaurav Choudhary, officers apprehended Ikram, recovering two country-made pistols and six live cartridges. A case has been filed against him under the Arms Act.

During questioning, Ikram disclosed that he obtained weapons from Mashook Ali, leading to further investigations. With information gathered from Ikram, police arrested Mashook in Meerut City.

Subsequently, a raid was conducted at a secluded flat in Kashi Ram Colony, revealing a factory for the production of illegal firearms. Mashook confessed to having manufactured over 80 country-made pistols, highlighting the scale of the operation.
