During the reception programme for the nine leaders, former Chief Minister Okram Ibobi Singh expressed dissatisfaction with the central government’s handling of Manipur conflict. He stressed that the central government should not accept any demands for separate administration for any community within the state.

This realignment comes amid rumors that NPP MLAs in Manipur may consider withdrawing their support from the N Biren Singh government, adding complexity to the current political situation in the state.
