Squadron Leader Rajkumar Herojit Shines with Two Gold and a Silver at National Para Swimming Championship

IMPHAL, Oct 22:   Squadron Leader Rajkumar Herojit garnered national attention by winning two gold medals and one silver at the 24th National Para Swimming Championship, held in Panjim, Goa, from October 19 to 22. Competing against top para-athletes from across the country, Herojit secured gold in the men’s 100-meter breaststroke SB4 event and the 50-meter breaststroke SB4 event, along with a silver in the 200-meter Individual Medley SM5.

With each athlete limited to three individual events, Herojit managed to finish on the podium in every race. Currently serving in the Indian Air Force (IAF), he dedicated his victory to the IAF, the Services team, his coaches, family, and the people of Manipur.

Having recently represented India at the 4th Asian Para Games in Hangzhou, China, Herojit was also recognized for his achievements during the 2024 Sanaroishingee Numit (Players’ Day), where he was presented with a symbolic cheque for his remarkable performance.
